MATRIX Recovery Program for Integrated Care™ for Adolescents and Young Adults recognizes the challenges that staff often face in obtaining required CE hrs. As a result this year we have added some additional topics that will provide the latest in treatment trends that are cost effective. These additional topics are also fun and engaging while learning new skills.

For the MATRIX Recovery Program for Integrated Care™, we updated the original MATRIX public domain with the evidence-based components, but added the most recent trends in treatment to ensure MATRIX Recovery Program for Integrated Care™ is always relevant to those needing treatment and to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes.

This 2-day training has been updated to provide implementation of the new MATRIX Recovery Program for Integrated Care™ for Adults. The training will utilize some lecture, discussions, videos and experiential exercises. A special emphasis will be placed on familiarizing attendees with all the evidence-based components of the original MATRIX public domain program but a new 2026 adapted version which incorporates new evolving recovery language and terminology, recent advances in behavioral health and substance disorder treatment.

Motivational Interviewing is deeply imbedded into the MATRIX Recovery Program for Integrated Care™. Knowledge and skill in motivational interviewing are critical tools in working with ambivalence and improving Matrix Recovery Program for Integrated Care™. Understanding ambivalence and the accompanying behaviors are critical to improving care. The appropriate use of motivational interviewing is also critical. Clinicians will also learn some of the challenges with use of Motivational Interviewing and ways to engage the clients. This training will discuss the typical use of Motivational Interviewing, but also discuss some of the key issues and challenges in using MI with certain disorders and populations. We will also address special skills needed, how to adjust treatment and how and when to use MI with the more challenging populations.
